Maury Mable's Irish Stout

On St. Patrick’s Day in 1895, Maury Mable first marched through the streets of Decatur in a top hat and tails to honor his native homeland. Maury continued to lead what became an annual parade and Decatur tradition for 50 years until he died. This St. Patrick’s Day, 2018, we honor the memory of “The Pied Piper of Decatur" with the release of Maury Mable’s Irish Stout. Please join us this Saturday at 11a.m. on Hillyer Pl. (across from Fellini’s) where Maury lived, as Irish Mike Gallagher, in top hat and cane, will lead a rabble of us in a march to the Brick Store Pub where we’ll hoist a pint in memory of Ol’ Maury.

Maury Mable's Irish Stout was brewed on our pilot system and only a handful of kegs were produced. It will be pouring for one day only, this Saturday, March 17th, at the following locations:

Three Taverns Brewery
The Marlay House
Brick Store Pub
Leon's Full Service
Mac McGee's

New Beer | Rowdy and Proud

Here at Three Taverns we love the game of soccer and put that front and center in our latest release, Rowdy and Proud. This is the second beer we've done inspired by “the beautiful game”, the first was Pils Mundial - now called Prince of Pilsen - in 2014 to commemorate The World Cup. Rowdy and Proud is a beer inspired by Atlanta’s professional soccer team and came to fruition with the help of Resurgence, a prominent Supporters Group of the team, who created the popular chant heard at games:

We are The A
From way down south
And we are here
Rowdy and proud!

We, along with our brothers and sisters in Resurgence, wanted to create a beer that was big on flavor and easy drinking. The result is a crushable 6% IPA.

“Rowdy and Proud encapsulates everything Resurgence loves - Three Taverns beer and our hometown soccer team,” said Gaurav Vedak, co-founder of Resurgence. “We’re thrilled to be a partner with Three Taverns on this incredible beer and can’t wait to drink it as we cheer our team to victory!”

R&P is brewed with Huell Melon, Amarillo, and Mosaic hops and bursting with flavors of honeydew, cantaloupe, and citrus. The beer will begin hitting the market the week of March 11th in draft and 12-ounce (six pack) cans.

For more information about Rowdy and Proud IPA and to see a recap of the release party check out this video from Atlanta United Fan TV.

Lord Grey...now in cans!

The wait is over! After months and months of hearing Three Taverns patrons in The Parlour ask “when can I buy this beer in cans?” we are proud to present the latest can offering from our Sour Asylum Series: Lord Grey. Lord Grey came to fruition with the help of our friends at The Porter beer bar who suggested the addition of tea leaves in a sour beer. We loved the idea and once our brewing team worked out the recipe the result is a refreshingly balanced 5% sour ale with Earl Grey tea. Herbal flavors abound up front with a subtle bergamot orange in the background, finishing crisp and mildly tart.

Lord Grey joins Rapturous and Enchantress as the third can offering in Three Taverns Sour Asylum Series. The beers have become just as popular for their unique flavors as they have for their creative can designs. Metaleap Creative once again hit it out of the ballpark on the can design, visually capturing the taste experience of Lord Grey.

Lord Grey will be available in cans at the brewery this Friday and available in market the week of February 19th wherever fine craft beers are sold.
