Hop Leaf Project | Supernal

Introducing our latest Hop Leaf Project | Supernal. Supernal is a 6% hazy IPA that uses raw wheat and oats along with pale and pilsner malts for a brew that enters the glass a yellow straw color with little visibility. Double dry hopped with Mosaic, Hallertau Huell Melon and Hallertau blanc, this luscious IPA unleashes a barrage of aroma and flavor that includes citrus, orange, ripe melon and pineapple. With a lingering signature hop presence and low bitterness, the soft mouthfeel makes this a super drinkable IPA.

Supernal starts pouring in the Parlour Thursday, Feb. 9th. It will hit the market this weekend as a draft only release.

Great Whiskey Comes From Great Beer Competition

How do you drink your beer? Out of a can? Bottle? Maybe distilled? Few people realize that minus the hops, most whiskey is essentially distilled beer. It’s unfortunate that these two things have been dissociated by the world, so we want you to bring these lost relatives back in good spirits! The Great Whiskey Comes from Great Beer Competition is a chance to get these two back together in an ingenious cocktail of your own creation!

Chattanooga Whiskey and Three Taverns Brewery invite you to The Parlour at Three Taverns to compete in The Great Whiskey Comes from Great Beer Competition. 1st Place and 2nd Place winners will be invited to compete in an exclusive cocktail competition held at the Tennessee Stillhouse in Chattanooga, TN, where the grand prize will be a case of Chattanooga Whiskey along with a ticket and airfare voucher to the 2017 Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans, LA.

Interested in competing? Browse the rules and regulations here, then email your recipe and signed copy to toby@tnstillhouse.com by February 12, 2017.

All friends, family and fans are welcome and encouraged to attend! The event is free but tickets are required for entry (must be 21+). Drinks and light food will be served.

Reserve your tickets here.

Imbibe Magazine: Meet The Brewer

Meet the Brewer: Three Taverns' Joran Van Ginderachter

Belgian brewers aren't often persuaded to leave home for new adventures in beermaking overseas, but that's exactly what Joran Van Ginderachter did when he left to join Atlanta start-up Three Taverns. The beer bug bit Van Ginderachter early; his first interest sparked while studying microbiology in high school.

Third Age Brewery Bottle Release

Join us Saturday, January 14th from 1-5pm for the bottle release of Third Age. Just in time for the frigid January weather this winter warmer will be available from the brewery in 750ml bottles. Third Age, a classic old ale aged in PX sherry barrels, is full bodied and rich with the aroma and flavor of dark fruit, caramel and the intense complexities of sherry and oak.

A bottle tour will be available for $15 and includes a 750ml bottle of Third Age (max 2 per person). A bottle and tasting tour that includes a 750ml bottle of Third Age, up to 36 oz of beer tastings and a souvenir Three Taverns pint glass will be available for $25. Standard $14 tour & tasting available as usual with standard tasting goblet. Low-Co Motion, an Atlanta-area based food truck focusing on using fresh, local ingredients to put a gourmet spin on classic favorites will also be on site.

Feest Noel Distilled Outlier No.3

Tomorrow not only marks the anticipated release of Helm’s Deep at Three Taverns, but it also marks the very special release at Independent Distilling of Outlier No.3, the first ever Georgia release of bierschnaps, the distilled spirit from our Feest Noel Christmas beer that was aged 22 months in charred oak barrels. It is truly AMAZING and not to be missed. And in case you didn’t know, Independent Distilling is a short walk across the street from Three Taverns, so you can start your day with a tour and tasting at the brewery and finish with a very limited bottle release at the distillery.

Amulet Can Release

Hop Leaf Project | Amulet releases in cans this Friday at the brewery. What may be the most popular of our Hop Leaf beers yet, Amulet is low in bitterness but high in aroma and flavor. Adding a mammoth amount of Amarillo, Citra and Simcoe hops in the late addition of the brew and in the fermenter, this lusty 6% IPA starts off with light grassy notes that fade into a tropical bouquet before ending with a crisp, dry finish. One 6-pack per guest will be available as part of a special tour for $10 each starting Friday and continuing till the supply runs out. Amulet is currently available on draft in the market and in our tasting room. Standard tour and tasting is $14 and available as usual.

Helm's Deep Bottle Release

Saturday, December 17th, at 11:30am will be our brewery-exclusive bottle release of Helm’s Deep. Helm’s Deep is a 13% Imperial Stout aged in 8-year bourbon barrels and recently won 1st Place, People’s Choice, at The Strong Beer Fest. This first run of HD is extremely limited. We’re talking only 100 bottles. Because of this, we are making it a ticketed event so no one shows up day-of and has to walk away empty handed. Tickets for this special "to-go bottle & tasting tour" will go on sale Monday, December 12th, with a limit of 1 bottle per person. Full details below.

-Tickets on sale here Monday 12/12 at 12p

Inceptus 2016, 6%, red wine barrel aged GA wild ale
Brettannicus 2016, 6%, red wine barrel aged Brett beer
Fortunatus, 6.5%, mixed fermentation wine barrel aged sour ale

We’re adding a half hour to this special tour and opening at 11:30 am now - this will give everyone more time to sample beers before we open to the public at 1p. With the exception of BBA Feest Noel, these special barrel aged beers will only be available from 11:30a to 1 pm. And each beer will only require 1 of your 6 tokens to give you opportunity to sample them all. Normal tasting room line up will also be available, including our latest Hop Leaf Project – Amulet.

And lastly, as mentioned above, since we’ll be offering the first taste of the 2017 DBA Helm’s Deep along with our limited release wild ales, we’re going to offer a special tasting tour to anyone for $20. While it won’t include a Helm’s Deep bottle and special glass, it will include the 1 token per beer offering and standard tasting room glass.
