The Return of Sour Asylum #2 | Cranberry Sauced

It's back! Cranberry Sauced, the 2nd in our series of lacto-fermented sour ales, is spiced with cranberry juice, cinnamon and clove in the fermenter, and balanced by a pleasing acidity from the lactobacillus strain added to the kettle. This unique sour is the perfect companion to the crisp days of fall.

Cranberry Sauced starts pouring tonight, September 1st, exclusively in The Parlour until it releases to market mid-October just in time for the holiday season.

Sour Asylum #10 | Basileus Release

Sour Asylum #10, Basileus hits the market today. This draft only release is also now pouring in The Parlour.

Sour Asylum #10 | Basileus [bey-zuhl aye us] which is Greek for king, is a lacto-fermented sour ale brewed with 100% pilsner malt and finished with fresh basil and cucumber. The sour tartness coupled with the clean and refreshing flavors of basil and cucumber make this beer a perfect companion for these last humid days of summer.

Rapturous Cans HIT THE MARKET

The (literal) fruit of our Sour Asylum series, Rapturous seduced palates from the first pour, earning the honor of being our first canned sour. Rapturous in cans will be released to market the week of August 22nd.

Rapturous is a lacto-fermented sour ale, matured on raspberry puree with a wheat and pilsner malt base, it refreshes with a tart and alluring fruit-forward flavor profile.

Ponce & Rapturous Can Release Party

Join us Friday 8/19 at the brewery for our Ponce and Rapturous Can Release Party. This will be a special night of tours and tastings that includes a canned 6 pack to go of Ponce, Rapturous or a combination 6 pack of both. Also included in the $20 ticket is a Three Taverns pint glass, and live performance from Nashville recording artist Marc Scibilia.

“Buffalo-born and East Nashville-based Scibilia may be up-and-coming, but not completely un-known. In 2015, he turned heads and set Twitter abuzz for his ethereal rendition of Woody Guthrie’s “This Land Is Your Land,” as part of the Jeep Chrysler commercial that aired during the Super Bowl and became the most Shazamed moment of Super Bowl XLIX outside of the halftime show. The success of the ad lead to coverage from Rolling Stone, Billboard, Forbes and USA Today and helped launch a busy year of touring with over 100 shows performed across North America and Europe.” marcscibilia.com

We’re privileged to have Marc perform with his band at the brewery during our special night of celebration. Learn more about Marc and his debut album, Out of Style, produced by critically acclaimed artist and Georgia native, Butch Walker, at marcscibilia.com.

Pallookaville's Corndog Wagon will be on site offering their standard truck menu of six corn dog varieties with three different batter options, homemade sides and more. (Food not included in $20 entry fee)

$20 at the door. Doors open at 6pm. Show at 8:30pm.

Gose On My Mind Release

Gose On My Mind starts pouring tonight, July 28th, in our brewery tasting room and hits the local Georgia market next week.

Sour Asylum #9, Gose On My Mind, is our Peach State interpretation of the traditional German-style Gose. We use locally sourced peach juice from Lane Orchards in Peach County, GA for a subtle peach sweetness that balances wonderfully against the tartness from the lactobacillus and the salt character from our addition of sea salt.

Introducing The Hop Leaf Project

Our newest initiative, The Hop Leaf Project, is a limited release series of experimental beers allowing our team of brewers to explore the way different aromatic and flavorful hop combinations work together with different malt bills to bring out a variety of character in hop-forward beers. This project is designed to introduce a new beer to market every four to six weeks, primarily draft-only with an occasional limited number of bottles released from the brewery.

First up and releasing this Friday 7/15 at the brewery is Sapient, a 5% hop-forward pale ale. Using generous amounts of Palisades, Galaxy and El Dorado hops in the late addition of the boil and in the fermenter for dry hopping. Sapient boasts an herbal, grassy punch and mellowed citrus and stone fruit aroma equally matched by its flavor right through the glass. Bitterness is smooth and well balanced against the crisp but full flavored mouthfeel and body of this very drinkable pale ale. Sapient hits the market as a draft-only release next week.

A Night On Octane IPA

A Night On Octane IPA is a collaborative effort that infuses A Night On Ponce IPA with Octane Coffee's espresso blend, Gravy. Gravy uses 42.5% Colombian Tolima, 42.5% Brazilian Capim Branco, and 15% Ethiopian Aricha. An 18 hour (to limit dilution) concentrated cold brew was infused into the beer to create a lush coffee IPA. The citrus forward notes in the Aricha blend seamlessly with the citrus hops and tropical aroma and flavor notes in A Night On Ponce and are wonderfully balanced by the chocolate and peanut butter in the Capim Branco and the chocolate, cherry, and citrus in the Tolima. This limited release is making a reappearance after an enthusiastic reception at the SCAA Uppers and Downers event earlier this year.
